A high school student-led project that aims to raise awareness and support the Hong Kong Shark Foundation in their quest to save our sharks from endangerment and overconsumption.
11,000 sharks killed per hour. 100,000,000 annually for the shark-finning industry alone. Our sharks are facing extinction, an event that would be disastrous for our precious ocean ecosystems due to their delicate place as apex predators in the oceanic food chains.
Our mission is to change this through our NFT collection of 8,888 sharks. By adopting a shark, you are playing your part in helping to stop the unsustainable consumption of shark-related products and in doing so, saving the oceans and changing it for the better!
Initial drop of 888 NFTs begin on April 15th, 2022 so be sure to go grab your shark NFT then!
The Hong Kong Shark Foundation is an organisation that aims to raise awareness on the issues of shark-finning and consumption of shark fins in the food industry globally. Based in Hong Kong, where 50% of the global shark fin trade passes through, it educates youth about the impact humans are having on sharks and have gained the support of numerous global companies such as Cathay Pacific and Maxim's Catering that have pledged to join in the action of saying NO to shark finning.
